You could spend a month vacationing in the North Carolina Smoky Mountains. Dillsboro is just a short drive from it all! Check out the local activies.  A short 14 mile  drive to the Harrahs Cherokee Casino or 16 miles to Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mt Rail Road.  

  Jackson County contains 4,600 miles of trout streams and receives an annual stocking of 92,800 trout, which is the most of any county in the state. It also features the state's longest contiguous stretch of N.C. Mountain Heritage Trout Waters. Jackson County is the home of the state record for the largest rainbow trout ever caught. 

Dillsboro offers some of the Smokies' most colorful and entertaining outdoor festivals.
